Dormice

Quants has experienced dormouse surveyors and can advise you on what type of survey or mitigation needs to be done and when. Our practical commercially focused approach can help your project run on time and budget.

Dormice and their habitats are fully protected by UK and European law. Dormice inhabit woodlands and hedgerows, mostly in southern and central England and Wales. Dormice are only active between April and October although surveys can be undertaken year-round. If your development affects dormice or their habitat, a licence may be required and mitigation must be agreed before planning permission is granted.
